Rack-Milling Machine RMX CNC

Milling machines of the RMX-type series come in two versions, offering a gearing length of either
3200 mm or 4100 mm. There are two options for the milling head, type F250 (35 kW) or type F350
(37 kW). The Kesel RMX-type series was based on the RMS-type series, and features a number
of subsequent construction improvements such as a Z-stroke of 540 mm. This allows high-precision
production of gear racks up to module 30 and any other work piece requiring precision linear indexing
with a machining length of up to 4100 mm. In an effort minimize idles on shorter racks the RMX is designed
for ”pendulum milling“, which greatly reduces idle time, by allowing the operator to unload and
load one side of the machine, while milling on the other. Operator safety is insured through a variable
door positioning system. The state-of-the-art computer numeric control (CNC) system offers highest
programming flexibility and will satisfy even the most demanding requirements of the automotive
industry.

Zero back-lash drive units based on ball-bearing
spindles and non-wearing high-performance gearing
yield the highest results in tooth quality and running
smoothness. All guides are made of hardened
steel and have been smoothed with the highest
precision to provide outstanding sliding and
damping qualities.

The swivel table allows adjustment of the milling
head for helical gearings of up to 25° in
both directions.

systems, magnetic plate or customer-specific devices.
