The milling machine RMS-Steering A and RMS-Steering (semi-automa- ted)were developed for milling the teeth in steering racks. The fully automated RMS-Steering A is equipped with a loading and un- loading system.The loading unit separates the racks and feeds them into the hydraulic clamping system.After the milling operation the stee- ring racks are automatically placed into the unloading unit. The RMS-Steering (semi-automated)processes two steering racks simultaneously.The work pieces are manually loaded and unloaded em- ploying a pneumatic loading aid.The machines can be equipped with a tool changing device (optional)for easy cutting tool change. Zero back lash drive units based on ball-bearing spindles and non-wearing high-performance gearing yield the highest results in tooth quality and running smoothness.All guides are made of hardened steel and have been smoothed with the highest precision to provide outstanding sliding and damping quali- ties Clamping of one or two steering racks depending on machine type.               The Siemens CNC-control Sinumerik 840 D (802 D) allows for complete flexibility in programming and fully automated milling process.                         Fully automated loading and unloading system for steering racks including part separation The complete brochure is available under PDF-Download as Adobe-PDF-file.
