FAQ – frequently asked questions
The hydraulic spindle is smoother-running, has an optical clamping force indicator, and is slightly more affordable. The mechanical spindle is more durable, with precise clamping force adjustment and a pre-tensioning option.
For the extended clamping range, the last locating pin is inserted through the groove of the spindle nut. This results in an even greater clamping width.
The fixed jaw is manufactured with an acute angle of approx. 0.05 mm to the base body.
Due to the clamping force, the fixed jaw is pressed to an angle of 90°.
The 3 cylinder screws on the face of the spindle should be tightened to the recommended torque.
This bearing washer is usually not broken, but rather two-part to allow the spindle to be mounted.
If the hand crank turns freely without significant resistance when clamping, the full clamping force is not being achieved, and the spindle is defective. Please send the spindle to us. You will then receive a cost estimate for the repair.
