The new FS-1500 is a highly productive machine based on our decades of know-how in manufacturing special milling machines. The machine is equipped with the high-quality Siemens SINUMERIK ONE control system as well as Siemens drives and is designed for economical toothing of carbon and bimetal bands up to a band width of 80 mm and a toothing range of 32 – 1.4 teeth per inch.
The fully enclosed cabin covers every aspect of safety, low noise emissions and cleanliness in the production area. With the additionally reinforced machine base, the FS-1500 is capable of milling demanding profiles with short cycle times.
For band transport before and after the machine, we offer vertical and horizontal coiler systems. A wide range of customer-specific adaptations is available.

What sets the FS 1500 apart
Kesel coiler systems
The un-toothed steel bands are stored in the pay-off reels. Up to 52 bands can be accommodated. Thanks to the variable adjustment of the spacing of the band loading stations, changeover effort is reduced to a minimum and band damage is avoided.
In addition to pay-off stations, take-up solutions are also available in vertical and horizontal versions.
Milling
Thanks to high-precision mechanical engineering components and the gearbox designed specifically for this purpose, excellent results are achieved in terms of smooth running and saw tooth quality. Kesel milling machines can operate in both climb and conventional milling.
Control system
The Siemens SINUMERIK ONE control system allows NC programs to be designed fully and flexibly and enables an automatic workflow.
Magnetic filter drum
Both emulsion and oil can be used as the coolant/lubricant. The chips are carried away via the coolant. A magnetic drum handles cleaning. The resulting chips are disposed of via a magnetic belt conveyor into a chip container.
Bandsaws
A wide variety of band saw blades are manufactured worldwide on Kesel band saw milling machines. Within the toothing ranges and band sizes for which these machines were developed, there are virtually no limits. In addition to bimetal bands, carbon bands can also be milled. If you are interested in a special band type, we will be pleased to design the machine and the tooling specifically for your application.
